The name is a bit of mouthful, which is fitting, given this brilliant piece of tech is a handheld scanner for the inside of the mouth.

If you’ve ever had to have an impression taken, you’ll no doubt remember the slightly unsettling feeling of having to sit with a mouthful of rubbery goo, waiting for it to set.

That’s all in the past now, thanks to our Trios Intraoral Scanner. The handheld scanner uses laser technology to take a digital impression of every part of the mouth. It’s safe, quick and incredibly accurate, so crowns, bridges and dentures are less likely to need adjustments.

The scanner is not much bigger than an electric toothbrush, and the process of sweeping it around the mouth for a full digital impression takes no more than a couple of minutes at the most. And because there is a large screen on the unit, you can see what your dentist sees while the impression is being taken.

But the Trios scanner isn’t just great for impressions. It is also a powerful addition to our imaging and diagnostic toolset, as it provides a more detailed view of the ‘geography’ of a patient’s mouth.
